PRESIDENT’S REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER 2014

ROBESON COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM

  • Met with Fundraiser Committee on the 16th and 29th. Melissa Hardy, Chair, will give full report at October 14 Board meeting.

  • Set up Holocaust Exhibit on the 18th. Many thanks to Faye Middleton and Ruth Ann McLellan for their valuable assistance.

  • Served as docent the 21st, 23rd, and 30th. Thanks to Anne Monroe and Faye Middleton for serving on those dates as well.

  • Delivered new Museum promotional display to the N.C. Welcome Center.

  • Met with Greg Price, Treasurer, regarding Museum finances.

  • Worked with Colleen Brown on recruiting homes for Christmas Tour.

  • Worked on plans for the Museum Christmas Parade entry.

  • Had new sign made for exterior display during museum operating hours.

  • Met with Evelyn Price and Nell Lyon, co-chairs, to plan Museum Christmas decorations.

  • Recruited Santa Claus for Christmas Tour of Homes at the Museum.

  • Recruited Revolutionary War exhibit for Christmas Tour at the Museum.

  • Met with caterer to get estimate on food for the Museum Fundraiser.

  • Promoted Museum exhibit at the monthly RDL Meeting.

REMINDER: FULL BOARD MEETING OCTOBER 14 AT 5:00 PM AT MUSEUM
